What are my shipping options? 
Specialty Tools offers up to five shipping options for most orders less than 135lbs., sent to addresses within the Continental United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii): Next day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3-Day Select, standard ground shipping & free shipping on items listed as "free shipping". 

Please note: 'Business Days' are Monday through Friday; Specialty Tools does not process orders on Saturday or Sunday, nor do our carriers deliver on these days. Tracking information will be e-mailed to you as soon as we process your order.

 IMPORTANT: If you receive a product that is damaged, you must notify the driver or the shipping company immediately. Specialty Tools will not be held responsible for damaged products if they are accepted by the consumer. Never accept a damaged package from a shipping company. Report the damage to the driver immediately. All damaged products must be noted at the time of the delivery. Never open a damaged product. Call the shipping company and get the driver back to the location to review the situation. Once the package is accepted and signed for, there is nothing Specialty Tools can do. The situation needs to be handled with the shipping company directly.

Next Day Air (red)
Only available on items in our warehouse.
Most next day air orders ship from our store within 24 hours. Most items are delivered within two Business Days.
Signature upon delivery is required.

Note: If you order Friday before 12PM EST, a next day air package will arrive on Monday. If you order Friday after 12PM EST, a next day air package will ship on Monday and arrive on Tuesday. 

2nd Day Air (blue)
Only available on items in our warehouse.
Most orders ship from our store within 24 hours and are delivered within four (4) Business Days.

Free Shipping
Orders marked free shipping will be shipped UPS Ground at no charge, and usually ship within two to four (2-4) days. Most items are delivered within eight to ten (8-10) business days. Free shipping is only made available in the continental United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. If you want to exchange a free shipping product, you are responsible for shipping charges back to Specialty Tools Inc.

Standard Ground Shipping
Available on all items.  

 

Cost is calculated based on weight & receiving zip code, and is actual cost, not marked up. Product usually ships within two to five (2-5) days and is delivered within seven to fourteen (7-14) days.

What items do not qualify for Air delivery?
The following items cannot be shipped via air delivery: 
- Items over seventy (70) lbs.
- Very large items, flammable items, or hazardous items.
- Select items that require freight-liner delivery.


Does Specialty Tools always ship multiple items together?
Items ordered together may not always be shipped together.

What are the shipping charges for items classified as:
        Special, Over-sized, or weigh 135lbs or more?
Items that are over-sized, weigh over 135 pounds, or require special handling will ship separately from any other items that you order. These Products will ship via Freight-Liner. Once your order leaves our store, the freight company will contact you to arrange a specific delivery time. Residential Delivery of heavy objects (over 135lbs) requires a truck equipped with a lift-gate at an additional charge. Deliveries to facilities equipped with a loading dock usually do not require a lift-gate. The driver is responsible to bring the product to the "tailgate" of the trailer; from that point it is your responsibility to unload the item. If you need a lift gate, please arrange this with the freight company prior to the scheduled delivery time. To avoid a lift gate fee, you can always pick up your order at the trucking terminal. Please note that each shipment requires signature upon delivery. Also, be sure to fully inspect the shipment when it arrives and notify the driver of any damage.

Lift gate Charges
If you require a lift gate for your delivery, an additional charge will apply.

  • Items with gasoline engines cannot be returned after gasoline has been added. They must be serviced by you local authorized service center.
  • Large or heavy items over 70 lbs that are shipped via freight liner.
  • Due to the expense of shipping heavy items, large items are governed by a separate Return Policy. Be sure to carefully inspect all "Heavy Item" (freight) deliveries for damage before signing the bill of lading, as freight liner handling charges cannot be refunded. If items arrive damaged or defective, you must note this on the shipping receipt and refuse delivery to avoid paying actual freight charges. Please notify us of any delivery problems as soon as possible to expedite the refund process.

Does Specialty Tools offer a return policy? Absolutely!

Return Policy
Most items purchased from Specialty Tools can be returned.


Exceptions:
-Items over 70 lbs
-Due to shipping regulations, items with gasoline engines cannot be returned after gasoline has been added to the tank. These items must be repaired at a local authorized Factory Service Center. Restocking Fees will be applied in certain situations

How to Return an Item
Simply log on to your account, then select Return Authorization Form (if you're already logged in, just click here:  Return Authorization Form).  Fill the form out completely, and we will provide you with return instructions. Returns must be post-marked within 30 days from the date received, and in re-sellable condition to avoid a 20% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to & from Specialty Tools, unless it was our error. 
Note: Any defective Wolverine Boot returns are to be authorized by Wolverine direct at 
800-545-2425 and are to be returned to Wolverine for inspection of defective product.


Restocking Fees
Some items may be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee, this will be assessed when the product is returned to Specialty Tools. Normal charges will apply for an exchange.

If Specialty Tools offers FREE SHIPPING and you return the product for a full refund, you will be charged a $20.00 restocking fee. 

If you order a product from Specialty Tools and it is a freight shipped product, there will be a restocking fee of 20% charge associateded if the product has shipped.

If you order a freight item(s) and the product has shipped, you will be subjected to pay for the shipping and handling fee as well as a restocking fee of 20%. 

Order Cancellation
At Specialty Tools Inc, you can cancel any order at any time before the order is shipped out, & there will not be any additional restocking charges or shipping charges. If you cancel after the product has shipped out, a 25% restocking fee, and shipping & handling charges will apply. If the order is refused by the customer (even if its a free shipping item)at the delivery location, the fee will be charged to the customer for the delivery to and from to the point of origin.

A refund will not be issued if non-defective merchandise is returned in visibly used, or damaged condition.
 
Orders "Refused" without authorization 
Returns that were shipped back after 30 days of the date received (Note: unless authorized, late returns will be rejected)
Once we receive your return, please allow 14 days for us to inspect and process your return. Purchases will be refunded to the account you provided when you placed your order. Purchases made with Specialty Tool Gift Cards cannot be returned for cash, but may be exchanged for another product or store credit.

Large Item (Over 70 lbs) Return Policy
Due to the expense of shipping heavy items, large items have a separate Return Policy. Be sure to carefully inspect all Heavy Item (freight) deliveries for damage before signing the bill of lading, as freight liner handling charges cannot be refunded.  If items arrive damaged or defective, you must note this on the shipping receipt and refuse delivery to avoid paying actual freight charges. Please note that you will be responsible for the actual freight costs in the following instances:
You miss your delivery appointment or

SPECIALTY TOOL DEPOT RETURN – REFUND POLICY
 
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase simply return merchandise along with your original receipt within 30 days of purchase, unless a shorter return period is indicated. Specialty Tool Depot will, at our sole discretion, repair it, replace it, or refund your money based on method of payment.

A refund of the same type payment will be issued only when accompanied by a Specialty Tool Receipt.
 
Merchandise returned without a receipt may be exchanged for merchandise or equal value, subject to last sale price. No cash refund will be given.
 
All returns – refunds are subject to Specialty Tool’s discretion.
 
Gas powered equipment once used, is not returnable. Once gas and oil is installed in gas powered units, only the manufactures warranty applies and are not returnable.
 
Special orders are to be paid in full at the time of purchase and returns are subject to a 15% or greater restocking fee if manufacturer allows the return.
 
These remedies are your exclusive remedies and all other remedies are hereby excluded. All warranties express or implied, including the implied warranties of  merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are expressly excluded. The exclusions herein are subject to and may be limited by applicable law and you may have additional rights.
